Press Release - Healthcare Modules Introduced, August 1, 2007
Today's Class (www.todaysclass.com) introduces its healthcare education program this fall with pilot modules for the skeletal system, the muscular system, the nervous system, and nursing safety. Concise and self-contained, the web-based modules provide focused overviews of their concepts, terminology, and relevant procedures. Additional modules are currently in development and will be released as they become available throughout the school year.
Each module is full of detailed graphics, exciting exercises, incremental quizzes, and final exams. The interactive nature of the courses creates an engaging, resourceful atmosphere for the students, while strategic reporting tools allow the instructor to monitor their students' progress and communicate with their classes.
Like all of Today's Class courses, the healthcare modules are delivered by their Learning Management System. The LMS provides instant feedback on quizzes and exams and records all student progress in easily-managed student reports. A unique bookmarking feature allows students to return to the modules at the precise point they last left, regardless of the location of their log-in. The LMS also handles student/instructor communication and technical support issues.
"The material is included in a Learning Management System that is very user friendly for the instructor," says Keith Littleton of Virginia College. "We have found that lecture time is significantly reduced as students can learn theory and concepts online. This permits more time for laboratory activities."
Today's Class" automotive technician program has launched more than 28,000 modules in 25 states. Utilizing NATEF task sheets, printable study guides, instant reporting features, and interactive automotive exercises, the program has been a great success among both students and instructors. "This program has revolutionized how I teach," says Joe Desio of Annandale High School.
Accessible from any computer with internet connectivity, Today's Class is a self-paced, fully interactive supplement to the instructor's curriculum.
"Today's Class is absolutely the best online tool for student learning I have seen," says Mark Maund of Virginia Beach Technical Center. "The student success has been tremendous."
