Manual Drive Train and Axles
This module covers the components and operating principles of the manual drive train, transaxle, clutch, driveshaft and differential, as well as applicable diagnosis and service procedures.
Advanced Electronics I
Provides the student with a detailed understanding of the concepts and applications of automotive electronics. Interactive exercises recreate analog and digital signals, pulse-width modulation, actuators, and input/output devices.
Advanced Electronics II
This module expands upon the concepts and applications introduced in the first module, including input /output devices, automotive wiring, connector repair, and “virtual” DVOM measurements.
Batteries, Starting and Charging
This module discusses the function and operation of various battery types, as well as charging, testing, voltage drop and simulated diagnostic tools.
Brakes
Varying brake systems and components, hydraulics, master cylinders and balance control systems are covered in this module. Fluids, bleeding, diagnosis, and micrometer readings are discussed, with interactive animations providing demonstration.
Electrical Circuits and Meters I
This module covers electrical properties, circuitry, and “virtual” DVOM setup and usage.
Electrical Circuits and Meters II
The second module continues coverage of voltage and current measurement, Ohm's Law, and power and magnetism.
Electrical Circuits and Meters III
The third module covers series, parallel, and series-parallel circuitry, schematic interpretation, and discussion of fuses, relays, capacitors, solenoids, and more.
Emissions
This module identifies emissions, automotive pollutants, and emission control systems and their components (PCV, EVAP, ORVR, and EGR systems).
Engine Performance
This module details engine classifications, construction and operation, diagnostic tools, and the performance of cooling, lubrication, computer, and fuel systems.
Engine Repair
This module covers engine components, classifications, and design operations, as well as engine construction and assembly, removal and installation guidelines, and the diagnosis and repair of cylinder heads, valve trains, and engine blocks.
Snap-on SOLUS Online
This module covers the features and operation of the Snap-on SOLUS Scanner. A simulated scanner allows students to input data, use graphing features, troubleshoot, and read SOLUS code.
Steering and Suspension
This module identifies components and operation principles of front and rear steering and suspension systems, as well as diagnoses, inspection and repair, wheel alignment topics.
Shop Safety
This module covers OSHA and EPA issues in relation to the automotive workplace. Fire safety, waste disposal, cleanup, chemical handling, and personal protective equipment topics are covered.
CATEGORY: HEALTH SCIENCE
Healthcare Safety
This module covers OSHA safety and health topics relevant to the nursing and healthcare workplace, including physical, chemical, and biological threats.
The Skeletal System
This module introduces the skeletal system’s functions and anatomy, identifies its bones and joints, and explains its most common diseases and disorders.
The Muscular System
This module serves as an introduction to the muscular system’s functions and anatomy, identifying its major components and detailing its contractions, types of movement, and common diseases and disorders.
The Nervous System
This module identifies the major structures and components of the nervous system and introduces the roles each play in nerve impulse transmission. Additionally, the protocol for basic neurological exams is discussed, as well as the most common diseases and disorders related to the nervous system.
The Respiratory System
This module introduces the respiratory system's major structures and their roles in the phases of respiration, common disorders and diseases of the respiratory system, and general examination protocol for respiratory ailments.
The Integumentary System
This module introduces the components and functions of the integumentary system, including the skin’s layers and its accessory structures, and addresses its common diseases and disorders.
The Circulatory System
This module introduces the structures and functions of the circulatory system, the components of blood, the paths of pulmonary and systemic circulation, and common disorders of the system.
