Thoughts at 50,000 Feet
The number of Today’s Class users continues to grow — over 18,000 students have been activated in over 70,000 modules. Several states support the program at the state level, including Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi. Read more...
Survey Results

We completed our first online survey of instructors using Today’s Class.

We will continue to conduct surveys from time to time, as your input is extremely important to the program’s enhancements. See Survey Results...

NATEF End-of-Program Test

Based on the Survey (mentioned above), we now have a way for schools to add the NATEF End-of-Program test to their contracts.  If this is a possibility for you, please contact IT help at IThelp@todaysclass.com. Keep in mind that NATEF testing continues through May 18, 2007 and there is still time to acquire the service. Please feel free to contact Technical Support with any questions regarding testing at ithelp@todaysclass.com or 1-877-224-0435 ext. 8309

Rural Strategy
The new standards of Perkins IV funding, include a requirement to serve rural schools that have little in the way of career-based programs. Melior is planning a program in Wyoming to facilitate a hub-and-spoke approach using online modules. How would this work?

New Programs and Upgrades

Today’s Class will be introducing a new automotive course module, Manual Transmissions, in fall, 2007.

Today’s Class has updated most modules and task sheets to reflect the 2005 NATEF standards. Updates to Electrical Systems are in process. We will inform everyone as soon as these updates are complete. Review upcoming changes.

New Launch Schedule

Most launches have been provided in regional school locations. In an effort to make launch information more convenient, Today’s Class Technical Support now provides web conference launches for new instructors, as well as for those wanting a refresher course on the program’s use. These web conference launches are scheduled every Friday from 2:30 – 3:30pm Central Time. Instructors interested in participating should contact Technical Support at ithelp@todaysclass.com.

Thanks

Today’s Class is pleased to welcome all new administrators and instructors to the program. We are excited to work with you and hope the program will be beneficial to you and your students. We would also like to thank all instructors who participated in our recent survey—your feedback is a valuable source of information as we continue to improve Today’s Class.
